SDR - [First Aid] Responders
A dedicated First Aid Group for the
SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY
Heritage Railway of the Year 2007
To provide the South Devon Railway with a First Aid Service
of the highest standard acheivable within attainable resources, catering for the needs of
staff, volunteers, and the visiting public.
As a First Aid Group volunteer you will be a member of the South Devon Railway plus Associate Member of Devon EMS, where you will have the opportunity to gain additional experience by attending First Aid Duties with Devon EMS as part of your personal development.

You will be based at Buckfastleigh Station in the lovely tranquil surroundings of the Dart Valley working from the Static First Aid Unit, however you may also opt to spend some time supporting the Platform Staff with duties directly associated with the general public or train to be a Traveling Ticket Inspector [TTI] with an additional "on-train" First Aid Role, indeed if it can be arranged you may have your day split between Buckfastleigh and TTI duties. Other duties will include maintaining the various First Aid Boxes located at numerous points along the railway.
