MEDICAL GASES COURSE
Course Description.
This one day course covers the storage of oxygen & entonox cylinders, correct assembly of administration equipment, indications and contra-indications for use, side effects, and safe administration of oxygen & entonox gases. Additionally the course covers the correct insertion of
oro-pharangeal airways, use of aspiration equipment and safe technique, plus ventilation adjuncts
when performing CPR. As a pre-requisite onto this course delegates must have a valid
First Aid at Work certificate, or other relevant qualification.
Target Group - Individuals who can demonstrate a clearly identified need to be trained in the use of
Medical Gases.
Cost - £45:00 per person.
Assessment Process - Summative Assessment - OUTCOME - Pass/Referred
Certificate valid for one year.
