Functions of the Human Resources Section include:- * Looking after the interests of all members. * Recruitment of new members into our team. * Supporting members in their personal development. * Conducting informal interviews for new members. *** * Michaela is Human Resources Lead for Devon EMS her aim is to ensure that all individuals find their time Devon EMS both positive and enjoyable, Michaela will support you in realising your full potential through the various levels of membership available. The members of Devon EMS are our single most important asset. We offer flexible levels of membership from sixteen years upwards, becoming a member of Devon EMS can be a rewarding experience, helping the sick and injured as a direct care provider, or providing behind the scene support. You will have the chance to make new friends and develop new skills, it is not all work as we have an important social life for team members. TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP PRE - ASSOCIATE MEMBER Member of the Devon - Community of First Aiders, you will trained in Emergency Life Support or First Aid, however you do not wish to become actively involved in Devon EMS. ASSOCIATE MEMBER:- Member of the Devon - Community of First Aiders, you wish to become operationally involved with Devon EMS, however have limited time to give. FULL MEMBER:- For those who wish to take a lead role within our organisation, or volunteer on a regular basis. FREELANCE ASSOCIATES:- You are classed as an Associate of Devon EMS and will undertake Operational Duties on behalf of Devon EMS in support of our volunteers as and when necessary, in return for a negioated payment. We only utilise the services of Freelance Associates when we have insufficient volunteers. As a minimum qualification Freelance Associates must have a valid First Aid at Work Certificate . All members regardless of type must comply with our standards of service, regulations, and protocols. All Operational Members are covered by our Medical Malpractice Insurance in respect of claims for negligence resulting from clinical activity, providing that such activity is authorised, and that the individual is working within their skill level. Members will wear the approved uniform of Devon EMS, for which they are part responsible for providing.
