EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES We can offer employment opportunities on a casual basis, however we must stress that we can give no guarantee to the amount of work offered so this should not be seen as a form of regular employment and any contracts offered will be restricted to one month with a limit on any earnings within that period, contracts can however be renewed as and when necessary. Such opportunities are available via two membership types:- Associate Member [Contractor] You must have as a minimum a FAW Certificate and recent Enhanced CRB both of which you will be responsible for financing, as a contractor you will only undertake paid activity. Flexi-Member As a flexi-member you will undertake a mix of paid and voluntary activity, in order to undertake the former you must have as a minimum a FAW Certificate, however if you do not have this you may join as a volunteer working through our probationary one year training programme, after which we will train you internally to FAW level plus enhanced CRB check, within this probationary period you must undertake a minimum of 30hrs duty as a volunteer, which must be repeated on an annualbasis if we are to undertake you FAW Requalification internally. We would suggest that unless you are in a position to have your FAW financed and CRB checked externally then the flexi member route may be your best option as FAW Courses and Enhanced CRB Checks can be expensive and we could not guarntee that the amount of paid activity even over a three year period would cover your costs as the amount of activity we can offer will depend upon our workload.
