Patient Transport Service
Our Patient Transport Service operates on a "not for profit" basis
and offers a Client Transport Service undertaken by our volunteer members.
The service is offered to clients who have compromised health or mobility.
As Devon EMS operates a minimum lift policy clients must be mobile
with assistance or if in a wheel chair be able to transfer with minimum assistance.
Our Client Transport Minibus
[ shown opposite] is very
comfortable and spacious, can accomodate four seated plus carer
in the back, or two wheelchairs
plus two seated
All seats have seatbelts.
The vehicle benefits from blinds and ventilation/extraction system,
and has ramps for easy loading.
If necessary one recumbent client can be accomodated during transport,
however must be able to transfer.
Use of this vehicle is at £0.70 per mile for the first 70miles thereafter £1.00 per mile
[these figures are calculated base to base] with a minimum charge of £10.
All proceeds from this service will be used to finance this service.

An alternative to the the Minibus
for those who are more mobile is our
Peugeot Partner Support Vehicle.
The seats on this vehicle are high off the ground with wide opening front doors
and rear sliding doors, and is
fully air conditioned.
Use of this vehicle is at £0.50 per mile
