INTERMEDIATE LIFE SUPPORT COURSE FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS

RESTICTED ACCESS COURSE
[The target group for this course will be our members and associates, however we may give
consideration to providing the course externally - the following will apply]

How long is the course?

2 modules, each lasting  4  hours
which can be taken as a complete course,  or seperate modules

What to expect on this course?

The modules combine both knowledge and skill, and as practical work is included in this course
female delegates are advised to wear trousers.
We also ask that you advise your trainer of any issues  that affect your ability to undertake practical work

Delegates undertaking this course should have either completed a First Aid at Work Course
or Emergency First Aid Course.

Part One- Emergency Life Support and AED Training

Covers basic life support plus safe use of an automated defribrillator

Cost £21:50                    Course Outcomes:-      Pass
                                                                                                         Deferred Success

Assessment via Summative Assessment with trainer

Certificate valid for 3 years, with intermediate annual updates advised [1 hr]

Part Two - Oxygen Therapy and Ventilatory Adjuncts

Covers oxygen administration as an adjunct to the management of medical emergencies and
cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, plus the use of ventilation adjuncts.

Cost - £21:50.                Course Outcomes:        - Pass
                                                                                                          Deferred Success

Assessment  via Summative Assessment with trainer

Certificate valid for 3  year, with intermediate annual updates advised [1 hr]
