Course Description
EMERGENCY RESPONDERS COURSE
This course comprises of 3 modules, each lasting 3 hours, which can be taken as a complete course,
or seperate modules, with modules 2 and 3 linking into the EMERGENCY FIRST AID COURSE.
The modules combine both knowledge and skill, and as practical work is included in this course
female delegates are advised to wear trousers. We also ask that you advise your trainer of any issues
that affect your ability to undertake practical work
MODULE 0NE - Emergency Life Support
Covers Heart Attacks, Unconsciousness, Severe Bleeding, Choking and Resuscitation.
TARGET GROUP - Individuals who requires the knowledge and skills to deal with life threatning situations.
Standard Cost £21:50
Special Cost - £14.00 for individuals self - funding and in receipt of certain state benefits,
those in full time education, and pensioners.

Course Outcomes:- Pass
Deferred Success.
Assessment via continous assessment with trainer.
Certificate valid for 3 years, with intermediate update [1 hr] advised.

MODULE TWO - Automated External Defribrillation [AED]
Covers Automated External Defibrillation [If taken as a stand - alone module delegates should be
proficient in the skillls of CPR, as the module only updates these skills, this forms part of the
Summative Assessment.]
TARGET GROUP - Those who may be required to use an AED in their workplace,
part of an Emergency Responce Team, or as an individual Home AED operator approved by a
GP or other relevant Healthcare Professional.
Cost - £21:50 for stand alone module
£39:00 for modules one and two combined

MODULE THREE - OXYGEN THERAPY & VENTILATION ADJUNCTS
Covers oxygen administration as an adjunct to the management of medical emergencies and
cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, plus the use of ventilation adjuncts.[If taken as a stand - alone module
delegates should be proficient in the skillls of CPR, as the module only updates these skills,
which form a part of the Summative Assessment.]
TARGET GROUP - Those required to use oxygen therapy in the workplace, or as part of an
Emergency Responce Team.
Cost - £21:50 for stand alone module.
£39:00 for modules two & three.
£60:00 for all modules.

Deferred .
Assessment for Modules Two & Three via Summative Assessment.
Certificate valid for 1 year,
